Day 1: Hickory, NC
We are about two hours into our adventure - and saw some ominous clouds ahead that justified pulling over at a rest area to put the top up. We have been learning about the building of the Brooklyn Bridge - pretty freakin' cool so far!
We finished the 'book' just before arriving in Memphis. I thought the part about his wife Emily taking over most of Washington's duties was the coolest part!
